Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 yrs experience as a Shipyard Outside Machinist
Working on various types of mechanical systems on surface and subsurface vessels.
Must be familiar with tools and components of ships engines.
Experience with propellers, steers and valves.
Must be able to pass hands on test.

Experience Preferences:
Owns required tools to perform job duties
Proof of OSHA Maritime 10-hour completion
VSRA Safety Training completion
Currently or recently held Rapid Gate Clearance
Pass safety related physical, hearing and respiratory fit test as required by OSHA
